| ASASHORYU A BIG FAT LIAR !!! |
Here are the facts! Asashoryu goes around saying his back hurts too much to do work! He gets a doctor's excuse. He goes back to Mongolia. He tells people he's going to "recover." He then plays in a charity soccer match, twisting and jumping. He does this IN FRONT OF TV CAMERAS! He's flat Busted! Either he lied in the first place about how hurt he was, or he intentionally put his back further at risk by doing excessive maneuvers. Either way, He obviously NEVER cleared it with ANYONE that he would be playing soccer instead of doing his job!

Why didn't the JSA deal with each and every "snot-like" issue as it came up ?
Because he was the only yokozuna they had, and they had no option to just suck it up each time he poked them in the eye. But now he's no longer the only big beetle on the dung-heap, and they can afford to stomp on him.
But as you say, they've gone overboard. They should just let him go.

"There are some certain aspects of Japanese culture that are difficult for foreigners to understand, such as showing restraint. A yokozuna is supposed to be a role model for all the lower-ranked wrestlers, so Asashoryu deserves to be punished for what he did. He should have wanted to fulfill his yokozuna duties by getting involved in the tour. If he was really injured, he didn't have to wrestle. But he should at least be there on the tour so the fans could meet him in person. Since he was capable of playing soccer, physically being present on the tour shouldn't have been so hard for him. Fans would appreciate the gesture and other wrestlers would learn from him."
